There are moments in life where you feel a swell of pride at the achievements of your children, grandchildren or for yourself personally. Sometimes, too, you can feel immense pride in the place you work – and that happened today.

Quik Corp met with members of the Australian Defence Force who served as an opportunity to appreciate the sense of pride and reverence they stir in us. The many remarkable stories that proved the intrepidity of the brave men and women of the past, and also who continue to contribute towards the country’s tranquillity will never be forgotten.

At the meeting, Quik Corp was presented an Australian flag that had flown over the Qargha coalition base in Afghanistan. It was given as a token of appreciation for their generous donation to Legacy. Individually numbered and folded in a beautiful wooden display case with both memorabilia coins and certification of authenticity. The flag is destined to be displayed in the Quik Corp home offices for all to see.

Our greenPRO team was proud to know our parent company Quik Corp supports Australian soldiers, as they return from deployments through their work with Legacy.

greenPRO and Quik Corp are no strangers to supporting regional and rural communities in agricultural and emergency services.  With this spirit in mind Quik Corp was able to continue its long history of support at the Defence Charity Ball.

The event was held in Brisbane last month by bidding very generously to secure this unique item. Money raised from this item, and a host of others went to supporting all those who have lost loved ones during service or faced hardships after serving in the armed forces.

The Charity Ball was put on by Legacy, renowned for helping to change the lives of those who serve our country and their families. Quick Corp is a proud supporter of Legacy because it recognises the significant role it plays in the lives of veterans and their families.

The flag was presented to Managing Director David Wardle at Quik Corp Headquarters by Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Jenkins himself, on leave from Afghanistan. The Lieutenant personally transported the flag as they flew out of the Qargha coalition base in Afghanistan on route back to Australia.

This is one of the many reasons that we at greenPRO are proud to be a part of Quik Corp and the strong ethic we share as a team towards supporting the heroic work, commitment, and sacrifice of those who have served, protected and continue to protect our country and their families.
